My path to hypnosis was as a client first. After years and years of insomnia and trouble sleeping, I had nowhere left to turn to. On one of my many restless nights, I found hypnotism while searching online. I discovered self-hypnosis, and with that, was able to cure my insomnia within a week.

From there, the world opened up. I realized how much good I could do for myself and others by learning how to hypnotize for positive change. I then studied under Mike Mandel and Chris Thompson, and became a certified hypnotist through them.

Due to my own early experiences with hypnosis, I specialize in sleep problems and anxieties/phobias. However, I work with any and all reasons that might bring you to hypnosis.
Why Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an alternative to talk therapy, in which the hypnotist guides the client through trance (a natural state in the human brain) to address specific issues. Hypnotism can not make you do anything you do not want to do, and you are in control the entire time. The hypnotist is there as a guide to help you find solutions personalized to you and your circumstance.

Many clients have tried traditional therapy, self-help, fads, and more. Hypnosis is generally not on the list, or is approached as a last resort. I was the same way. But hypnosis and trance-work has been used for millennia in human civilizations around the world, and provides change without the long term costs or time investment of many more conventional alternatives.

Hypnosis works through utilizing a trance-state, to tune or reprogram the unconscious, kind of like modifying computer code. In this way, we can change habits, attitudes, and unhealthy beliefs in an efficient way. Many times, we can make these changes without you having to give me all the details (content-free hypnosis), as oftentimes many of the reasons we end up in hypnosis are hard to talk about.

While changes in established behaviors and reactions can come about as a result of thought and repetition, these problems are primarily due to learned behaviors in our unconscious. If most of our problems were found in our conscious thoughts, we could just think about them and solve our problems- but that's not how it works for most of us. Hypnosis communicates with the unconscious, and that's why it works.
